The End of the Most Suffering Week

Weather: Rainny
Level of Happiness: 85%

(20 Dec 09)My friends and I was participating in the Project Exhibition (ProDEx) 2009 as a helper. At 1st, we thought that the helpers are just like those who are responsible for distributing the foods and drinks to the participants, helping in stage decoration and doing those simple things. However, when we attend the 1st meeting, we were asked to create the Flash and think about the opening ceremony plus the stage design. Oh my god! We were stunned at the moment since I even have not heard about Flash before and totally do not have an idea on what the flash is….

Throughout the following weeks, my partner and I were struggling to create the flash by using Adobe Flash software. The worst thing happened in last week, i.e. we had to stay in the college every day from 7.30am until 9pm and had to skip a lot of lectures and tutorial classes. Something good is that finally we found that a lecturer is willing to help us on the flash.

The result of one-week hard works can only be shown on the few minutes during the opening ceremony. During the moment, I was so nervous since hundreds one people, including all VIP’s are looking at our flash. Luckily, everything went on smoothly during that day. After that, out job have done. That is the moment that I can back to enjoy my normal life. Anyway, I still have to put more effort to pick up what I have missed for the lessons since this week is my Japanese language exam, emf test, math assignment due date.

After 2pm, I straight away went home since my job has done. We went to 1-U to watch 风云II. Frankly speaking, it is such a lousy movie. I think they had put in too much of effects until the whole movie becomes an animation. Anyway, I still give it a PASS for that movie since the story is quite OK.

After the movie, we went to Murni SS2 to have our dinner. Although at 1st we have lost our way to go there, we still managed to reach the destination finally. I have ordered a piece of Roti Special as my dinner. We went home after the dinner. The only thing that I intended to do when I reached home is SLEEP. Basically these are what have happened in this week. I have to stop now. Bye~

誕生日は

Wow…really long long time have not post anything here. Maybe I’m getting lazy in these few weeks. So, I just make a summary about my life during these few weeks.

First of all, thank you for those friends who sent some birthday wishes to me few days ago. ありがとう。I also received a custom-made birthday card from the small little boy from my neighbour in PJ. (l will upload it later) Sometimes I felt that a simple and normal present will still give a deep impression to someone. So, how was my birthday? Erm… the whole afternoon just staying at home to do my assignment, since my homework already stacked until so much. At night, I went to Pizza Uno to celebrate with my family and relatives as well. When I was back to my hostel in Melati, I was presented two pieces to cakes from my housemate. Thanks a lot ~ ^^

Second thing that I would like to share is that my Japanese lecturer already left us and to back to Japan. Our whole class is like orphans since he left. However, I must say that we are so lucky that we have been ‘adopted’ by a lecturer who is teaching another class. Our real Japanese lesson starts here. The first few weeks are like listen to the former lecturer ‘bullshiting’ around without learning anything. Now only I know Japanese class can be so interesting. ~Omoshiroi desu~

Erm..i think that is enough for this time since I’m lazy to continue. I’ll stop now. Bye~

Happy Saturday

Weather: Rainny

Level of happiness: 89%

This morning I attended my Japanese class at 10am. Because of this, I have to wake up at 7.30pm and take LRT from PJ to my college after breakfast. During the 2 & ½ hours class, as usual, we have to spend 50% of the time listening to the lecturer to tell his story….how he treat his wife, his life in Japan, why Malaysia is so terrible compared to Japan etc… However, I still cannot visualize how true is these since I haven’t been there before.

After my class, I went back to my house for a while because I have lost my resident pass. Losing a resident pass is not a big matter but without this, I can’t go into the GYM anymore!!! Finally I decided to go to the security office to check whether my card is there. Luckily I found my resident over there. Fiiuuu….the feeling of lost & found is really indescribable.

After that, I began to go back to PJ by taking LRT. The 2nd interesting incident happened. When I was waiting for the train to arrive, I saw an old blind man standing there and he seems like seeking assistance from anyone. “Helo…helo….ada orang kak sini….ada orang tak……tak ada orang kak sini?” However, nobody is willing to approach him and lend him a helping hand. Without hesitating, I straight away headed towards him and assisted him to go into the train.

After he has been seated, I took my seat just opposite of him in case he needs assistance later. In my deep mind, I ‘m so sympathetic to him since he just travelling from one place to another place by himself, some more taking the public transport, which is not so handicapped-friendly. On the other hand, I’m so proud of him due to his independence and determinant. Compared to those who are not so lucky, I must say that we should always contented to what we are having right now. Ironically, we always complain this and that, complaining we are not as lucky as others etc. Hence, every time when we want to groan on something due to the dissatisfaction, perhaps we should pause for a while and think that there are many people still lagging behind us and struggling for their basic needs and they still do not give up, instead they perform much better than normal human beings.

Thinking about this, my tears nearly dropped out but I still felt happy since I have done something that I think I should do. The feeling is simply indescribable. Maybe you might have the same feeling in the future. Who knows?

A boring weekend

There were only 5 of us in the house in this weekend and there rest already disappeared. Initially I have a lot of plan in my mind. “Maybe we should go 1-U to shop for whole day….”, ”nono…1-U we already went there b4, hw about Ikea, since some of them have not went there before….” Ahhh….. “going to Petaling Street is also an option, since we can have our dinner there…”

However, none of the plan has been realized, but I brought YY to the lake far away from my house for jogging. The distance is about 15 minutes driving from my house. Before we reach there, YY suggest that we should at least run for 10 rounds. “Oh..no…YY, maybe you haven’t know how large the lake is!!” Never mind, I still temporary set it as my target.

We started to jog. 1st round, 2nd round, 3rd round… oh no….i already nearly exhausted. Anyway, I still continue to run. Surprisingly, I am still able to run for 10 rounds. Wow, I think I never run as far as this time since the cross-country run during my secondary school!

At 7pm, we went back to our house and joined my housemate to go Wanga Maju for our dinner. This time we began to search for some new stalls. We plan to give a try on the dessert sold at the one of the dessert shop. However, when we went there, the shop already closed. This is basically the activities that we have done in this boring Saturday.

Wow, I felt that my post tends to become shorter and shorter than the previous post. Maybe I seldom have any mood to write blog. Haha…That’s all for today. Bye bye~

Hajimemasshite

Dozo yoroshiku

That is what I have learnt during the 1st lesson of my Japanese Class. The lecturer, 野心, has taught us to introduce ourselves on the 1st lesson. Everyone was asked to come out and introduce oneself in Japanese language…Oh… he is really putting a lot of pressure on us! However, I still feel great since there are so many students study together in the class. Most of them came from other course such as, Management, Tourism, PR, Finance, Business etc….

Frankly speaking, the language is not as easy as I thought since the words, grammar, vocabulary are totally new to me. To master in one language, the only 3 important steps are not more that read more, write more and listen more. Hence, I plan to buy myself a Japanese animation that I like the most, Detective Conan!! Of course…. In Japanese version!! Haha^^

That’s all for today, bye bye^^

Yeah!

AblaZE~

Weather: Sunny

Level of Happiness: 87%

This Monday, after Dr Yiauw’s class at 5pm, my friends and I straight away headed to the sports complex as we already registered to participate in several exciting yet challenging activities. Ablaze Hospitality Touch was organized by the students in Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management and Hospitality, SSSH. There are a lot of games to be played over there such as Water Ball, Zorb Ball, Archery, Station Games, Food and Beverage etc. I spent RM 7.50 for the Water Ball (shared by Sean and me) and RM 5 to buy the tickets and participated in the ‘in-pool tug of war’. Although it is quite expensive, but I know that the fund is raised for charity and it is quite nice to pay for the interesting games but at the same time, I can help those who are needed.

The first game that we participated was the tug of war. Our team only consisted of 4 members out of 7 members maximum due to the timidness of some of my friends. Hehe…please don’t feel irritated if you think you are of them^^. This is still not the worst! The worst thing is that our opponents are all giant-sized tankers. Obviously, we were in the disadvantageous position!! However, things did not turn out as what we thought! Our ‘black-horse’ team won the game unpredictably. Erm…. Actually is not ‘game’ but ‘games’. We won the 3 matches continually!!! Look at the pictures below. Is that possible for us to win the games since our size differs with them like sky and ground?? Oo….i still cannot believe. Can anyone tell me why? Haha….

After tug of war, we went to enjoy the Water Ball. First, Sean and I went inside the rubber ball and they started to pump in the air until the ball shape is formed. Then, we were pushed into the swimming pool. We struggled to move from one place to another point of the pool but not successful. We keep falling down as inside there was too slippery and from far away, we were like two hamster playing inside the ball… wakaka….

One the second day, since most of us were having the class and unable to participate again in the tug of war for the final session, we missed the prize, which is a BIG hamper!! Oh..no..!! Anyway, we were still able to make some time to play the station games. Most of our friends were unable to attend and they just passed us their tickets. Haha…We have totally 19 tickets during that day, this means that we can play the station games for 19 times…However, we didn’t do that but spend some tickets to buy some food and beverage since there were so hot over there. Simply a bottle of guava juice is much better than playing other games. We have participated in a lot of games such as bowling (coconut ball), throwing the balls into the small hole, throwing the balls to hit he bottles, guessing the total amount of candy in the box etc. Finally, we won a lot of prizes. However, I don’t think the prizes are useful to us.

. 战利品^^

The experience over there is quite memorable and interesting. The above are some of the interesting photos that i would like to share with you all.^^

Dark Saturday

Weather: Rainny

Level of happiness: 75%

1-8-2008 9am..... Electromagnetic Field & Circuits Test ....M003--- the test was so terrible .... everyone was burning the midnight oil to finish the revision. However, things did not went on as smooth as we think. Nothing to comment...Skip~. After the test, we went to KLCC.

Initially, we planned to go Berjaya Times Square before going to the pc fair. However, due to the protest for ISA, we have to cancel our schedule to Times Square. When this morning I saw the newspaper regarding the protest, I felt relieved that we did not went there yesterday.
We took LRT from Wangsa Maju directly to KLCC. Throughout the 15 minutes in the LRT, we have to squeeze with other people like tuna fish because there were too crowded over there. After we reached KLCC, we straight away headed to the convention centre. The environment there is so nice and magnificent if compared to the one in Penang.

1st, we went to the online game section. Wow…there were a lot of leng lui there. Erm…actually they are the model/promoter for the online games. I was so regretful for forgetting to snap a photo together with them. I participated in a game that required me to fill in the blanks regarding Chinese proverbs (成语). The question was simply so easy but I just could not answer it!!! It was really a shame for me!! I only managed to score 2/16 from the quiz. Haiz…finally I just got a T-shirt and 200 points for the online game as a consolation prize.

After the shameful experience, I promise myself to improve my Chinese starting from today. Hence, I will try to use Chinese words when writing my blog if I have adequate of time. We went from one hall to one hall to search for some computer accessories. I bought myself a pendrive-brand 4G pendrive that cost RM30 while all of my friends spent nearly RM100 for buying the accessories.

After the pc fair, we went into the KLCC again to shop for a while. After that, we went back at 5.30pm. The only thing that I really regret is that I didn’t capture any photos during the pc fair and finally caused me to have no photos to be uploaded in the blog here. I am so sorry about that, anyway, I still love you. I should stop here as I need to prepare for my oral presentation now. Bye~bye~

My Life in Tarc, KL

Weather: Sunny
Level of Happiness: 80%

It is already one month since I stayed in KL. Without any notice, this is week 5 of the semester and a lot of assignment already queuing up and I can almost feel the how scary it will be. Compared to my friends in U, they just have 3 subjects to take in this semester while for us, we have 7 subjects here plus one General Workshop.

There are a lot of differences compared to last 2 years. 1st, the environment. The college is so big and we have to take quite a long time from one place to another place. Sometimes it quite exhausted for us especially when one class is on the west and the next class is on the east!! Now only I realized that it is quite hard for a student in TARC to grow fatter! I think every day I have to walk at least 1km in the college just to attend the classes.

(Sleppy time~)

(DK X)

2nd, the standard. When I first time attend the math lecture on week 1, I only realized that what we have learned in diploma for 2 years is considered nothing! The lecturer seems to have a very very high expections on us. Whatever mathematical steps that we performed in one whole page, the lecturer can just simplified it into one step! Yes...it’s true! Whenever we direct a question to him, he will reply you in this way:

“I tot this question I already explain during the 1st lecture? Y u dunno is because u skip my class! I already told u u u u u u u never never skip my lecture!.... It is exactly same as your diploma maths, just that the problems become more complicated. That y I always said that u all r learning by copying answer!!!....”

Besides, we have to attend a workshop specially allocated for Penang students since we have not use the machines before. However, the workshop is quite dangerous especially the welding process which will release a lot of fire sparks. So, we have to wear the protecting equipment and make us look like Ninja Turtle ( as shown in picture )

(Super Ninja^^)

(One of our project...wuhoo~~)

Genting Trip (2) - Part 2

......

Apart from that, we also tried some water-boat rides, such as bumper boat etc. During the ride, we attempted to bump on each other and finally all of us has been splashed with water and became wet. However, this is considered as nothing if compared with the flume ride. During the flume ride, we were splashing the water at each other and most of us were TOTALLY wet, for the whole body!!! Thanks to our mischievous friends!

The nightmare finally arrived, that is the SPACE SHOT, the most most most excited, trilling and even the most horrible roller coaster in Malaysia! No need to question about me, I definitely won’t put myself at risk on the horrible machine, please! zzZZ……

Dinner time….. We went to enjoy our buffet dinner after spending the whole day in playing those excited games. This means that the fear factor stops here. After the dinner, all of the roller coaster that we rode was gentle rides. We also went to enjoy a 4D movie before we went back to hotel.

The next day, after our lunch, we went back to Penang on 4pm.

I’m going to leave my hometown within 3-hours time. Luckily I’m still remembering to finish up this blog. Take care, all of my friends. Have a nice day!

Genting Trip (2) - Part 1

Weather: Sunny...Cool!

Level of Happiness: 80%

Level of Excitement: 85%

Level of Fear: 94%

Last Sunday, I went to KL again with my friends by bus. After we reached the bus station, I separate with my friends and take LRT to Taman Paramount and my mother picked me there. We went to have our dinner at one of the Indian restaurant. All the dishes is purely Indian-style and totally different from what we eat normally. We had spent around RM300++ for one dinner.

After the dinner, we went to Taman Melati to meet my friends and the house owner as well. After we signed the contract, we started to clean the house, which is full of dust. We stayed there temporary for one night.

On the next day, we took taxi to Wangsa Maju to have our breakfast together with my friends from Penang as well. From our conversation, we were so surprise that they were actually going to the same place with us. After taken our breakfast, we went back to pack our belongings and headed towards Terminal Putra. We have to wait for one hour before the bus arrived. The bus ticket only cost us Rm2.60 each.

Next, from the Skyway, we went up to Highland using cable car. We finally reached the Highland at 1.30pm. When all of our friends arrived, we immediately queue up to check-in into the hotel. Wow…the experience was terrible! There were hundreds of people queuing up there and we have to wait for another 80 people before we can get the keys (cards actually).

We don’t have any activities on the 1st-day, so, we went for adventure. Yes…adventure into the casino. Since only 2 out of 12 of us are legally allowed to go inside, we have to try for our luck. However, not all of us are lucky enough to go in smoothly. Anyway, I’m the one who considered as lucky one and I went in successfully to have my lunch there. To my disappointment, the food sold inside the casino is not really cheap as people said. I ordered a plate of chicken rice that cost me RM9.90 and it was not really delicious! After the lunch, many of us went to try the game and all of us…yes…that is 100% of us who played the game win! Perhaps the late Uncle Lim is so generous to donate us some money to spend for the rest 2 days.

On the next day, which is the most important day for our friends, we went into the outdoor plus indoor theme park. For warming up, we tried the roller coaster located in the indoor theme park since the outdoor theme park only open at 10am. We rode the roller coaster, bumper cars, merry-go-round before we went to outdoor.

Our 1st ride at the outdoor is pirate’s ship, which I considered as a nice game previously. However, after a few minutes in the ride, I already knew that my concept is totally wrong and my heart nearly fell down at the moment!! I will rate the game as the most horrible roller coaster that I have ridden during that trip!

… To be continue

Genting Trip (1)

Weather: Rainny

Level of Happiness: 80%

Last Sunday, I went to KL with my family and we reached there around 5pm. After taking break for a while, we went to Murni for our dinner. The food over there is really delicious (especially the Roti Special…..Great!). That’s why the all the tables can be arranged from the beginning until the end of the street! There are just too many customers waiting for the food. I saw a lot of UTARians there as well. Perhaps Murni is also a perfect rendezvous for them.

The 2nd day in KL: I brought my parents to explore the city since my sister had to join her friends for karaoke. My god mum dropped us at the nearby LRT station and my role as a tour guide started here. We went to KLCC, and then we switched to Times Square, Sungei Wang and etc. I bought a keyboard and a mouse over there as well.

The 3rd day: After taken our breakfast, we went up to Genting Highland and we had our lunch at the food court located inside the shopping mall. Wow…the food over there is very expensive and terrible!! Too salty and not tasty at all! Later, it was the time for me to explore the place by myself again. I went to watch people playing the mini games at the indoor theme-park. I was attracted to a girl who was playing the games at the moment. She can easily win a few teddy-bears which just a simple throws of the ball. Wow…I’m wondering that she is so lucky or already mastered the techniques in playing the games.

I stood there for quite a long time to watch people playing the games. The games had attracted me but not the prizes. The soft-toys given to the winner is not nice at all! I think I can simply buy a better, nicer, cuter teddy-bear in S&J. Hahaha….

The weather at the mountain is extremely cold, especially at the outdoor. I should bring a jacket on the 2nd trip or else I will surely freeze at the outdoor theme-park! Okie..that all for today. Bye~

The Last Day of Year 2

Weather: Rainy

Level of Happiness: 82%

Last Friday was the last day of Semester 3. Although the lecture and the tutorials still going on as normal, we already escaped from the mood of study. Many of us prepared our camera, ie fully-charged and make sure the memory is sufficient to store a large amount of photos.

After the lecture ended at 11am, we were rushing from one place to another place to snap the photo. We already made the appointment with the lecturer, so every single minute is very critical. Wow… now only I understand how is the feeling of an artist who rushes from one place to another place to promote his concert and to give signature to his fans. The only thing different is that we are not the artists who give signature, that’s all.

Although we have taken a lot of photos, from every angles, every memorable places, with every lecturers, friends etc, I still have something regret in my mind. Until now, we still couldn’t capture a complete photo for everyone in my class, Y2M73. Whenever we intend to snap a complete ‘family’ photo, there will be someone who absent.

Anyway I’m quite happy to take photos with everyone. In fact, we have taken a lot of photos with funny actions! Hahahaha^^

I’m sorry that I have to wait until now to post the photos since I was having my examination few days ago. Haiz… the exam questions are terrible…extremely hard~~ nothing to comment now….

OK~ that’s all for today’s post. Have A Nice Day!

The Farewell Party

Weather: Sunny

Level of Happiness: 88%

Yesterday is the farewell party for our class Y2M73, which was held in E&O Hotel. We have planned the farewell party for quite a long time. In the process of selecting the suitable place, choosing the best day, considering the participation of all of our classmates, we actually faced a lot of difficulties. I must say that this farewell is not an ordinary party, but a symbol of impressive achievement from all of our classmates.

All of our classmates had put in a lot of effort in this farewell party. I’m glad that all of my classmates attended the party, except one of my friend who is currently facing some problem. Here, I wish that she will be all right soon.

The buffet dinner starts at 7.30pm until 10.30pm.When we just entered the restaurant, everyone looks very busy to snap some photos of the food as well as the environment over there. Actually we were blocking some of the customers when we were snapping the photos but we just cannot resist to keep the nice presentation of the food as a beautiful memory.

Satisfied with the photos taken, we started our buffet dinner. I had a mushroom soap as my appetizer. The mushroom soap over there is damn tasty! Next, I grabbed some fish slices, unagi, spaghetti, chef-recommended seafood etc and finally dessert (my favorite). I had almost tried all of the mouth-watering dessert shown in the pictures.

During the buffet dinner, there were some musicians playing some music just beside our table. All of us seemed like so energetic to give them continuous support. I am ‘proud’ to say that we are the one who generate the much noise inside the restaurant. It looked like we were singing rather than listening to the music. Most of the guests gave us their claps after ‘our’ performance.

After the dinner, everyone’s stomach seemed like having a baby since all of us had eaten up to the maximum amount of food. We also not to miss the opportunity to take some photo together in the hotel lobby. Again, the whole lobby was full with our noise when we were there. A lot of funny actions done by us when taking the photos and everyone was so enjoyable.
We went back at 10.30pm as all of us felt tired. In this farewell party, we had actually broken our previous records:

1) The most expensive dinner (even a meal) that we have had before, which is RM57 per person.
2) The nicest and most beautiful environment that we have been gathered before.
3) The highest participation of our classmates, which is approximately 95.45% attendance.
4) The highest amount of photos taken, which is nearly 500 photos.

A big Thank You to all of my classmates for making this farewell so successful. I have to stop now. Bye~

Wonderful Experience in BR

Weather: Sunny

Level of Happiness: 80%
Yo… It is quite a long time since my last post. I’m back! For those who view at my blog these few days, I am sorry as I had disappointed you. Besides, a big Thank You as well for your continuous support. I will try my best to present you an interesting blog in the future.

Just now I was told that my friend already helped me to collect my salary from BR. Yeah~ finally !! However, we could not claim a free pine-sized ice-cream as the manager said that we could not hit the target that day. WTH~ I thought we already achieved RM36k sales during 31st of March? I’m not trying to show-off, but just that it is the truth that every time when our group (my classmates and me) working there, the target will be hit easily. Thanks to all of us who are working so hard (excludes me, perhaps, I just enjoying ‘eating snake’ over there). Sometimes I’m very happy when the customer told me that we had done a good job. It is like an appreciation from the customers. Anyway, my friend is going to confirm with the person concerned and find out what is actually happened. I just hope that we can get the free ice-cream as the one in my house already finished eaten by my sister. Yes...we are just an ice-cream lovers ~haha.

It is so fun working at BR. Although we might scoop the ice-cream until our hands become swollen, we still find it interesting as we can eat a lot of ice-cream there (of course without the notice from anyone there…shhh….shhh). I met a lot of friends on that day and most of them bought a lot of ice-cream. For every customer that I served, I will put in extra weight for them as I’m lazy to weight the ice-cream repeatedly. For me, giving extra is better than giving less since I’m not the boss of BR and all the profit earned does not related to me….hahaha…. Hopefully my future employer will not see this statement or I will be ‘fried’ soon.~~

I was also not forgetting to buy some ice-cream for me during that day. This is because I’m the one who in charge of my own ice-cream, so I have the chance to squeeze in much ice-cream, usually 30% more than the ordinary weight. Hahaha~ So this is why my ice-cream is much more heavier than normal ones. Anyway, I think I do not have any chance to do this again. Not because I have been fired, but I have no chance to work there again as I’m going to KL soon and I missed the days so much. That day we were working for 13 hours until midnight 1.30am and the next day is our test. See, we really ‘sacrifice’ a lot!!

Basically, this is all about the experience in BR that I want to share. Is it interesting? No matter how, I have to stop now. Bye bye~
